Built by a Clinical Psychologist

Your inner
world, in words.

You have probably thought about understanding yourself better. The patterns you repeat, the feelings you can't quite name, the version of yourself you keep meaning to become.

This journal gives you a structured, private space to actually do that work. Guided by psychological principles. Built by a practising clinical psychologist.

A mental health journal
to regulate, reflect
and grow.

Most journals give you blank pages. Inklings gives you guided prompts built on psychological principles — the same kind of reflective work done in therapy, adapted for you to do on your own, at your own pace.

It is not a productivity tool or a habit tracker. It is a space to understand yourself: your patterns, your relationships, your emotional responses, and where you actually want to go from here.

Designed and curated by Shreya, a practising clinical psychologist with years of experience sitting with people through exactly these questions.

01
Built on psychological principles
Every exercise is drawn from evidence-based therapeutic practice: self-compassion, inner child work, attachment theory, cognitive reframing. Clinical tools, made accessible without the clinical setting.
02
Why digital journal makes a difference
Your journal lives in your account, not a notebook that gets lost. Access it from your phone, tablet, or laptop. Your entries are always there, always private, and new exercises will be added over time as the journal grows.
03
One purchase, carried everywhere
Pay once and the journal is yours without expiry. Pick it up on a difficult day, return to a section months later, track your moods daily or occasionally. It works around your life, not the other way around.
What is inside

Thirty-plus exercises.
Three parts. One complete journey.

Each part builds on the last. You can follow the full journey or return to what you need. There is no right pace.

I
Part One · Foundation

Build
Emotional Safety

Before going deeper, you need tools to hold yourself when things feel heavy. This part teaches you to ground yourself, name what you feel, and find a steady place inside.

A grounding exercise for when you feel overwhelmed
Notice where emotions live in your body
Build an inner place you can return to anytime
Develop a compassionate voice for yourself
II
Part Two · Reflection

Reflect on
Yourself

The deepest part of the journal. You will look at where you came from, who you are now, what you carry, and what you genuinely want. The questions most people never sit with long enough.

Understand the experiences and people that shaped you
Work through your inner critic, younger self, relationship patterns
Name your dreams and the beliefs quietly stopping them
Write your full story and where it is headed next
III
Part Three · Daily Practice

Move Forward
With Intention

This is the part you return to every day. Once the deeper work is done, this is where you bring it into how you actually live. Small, consistent habits that add up to real change.

Track your mood and gratitude with a visual calendar
Plan your day with intention, not just tasks
Set meaningful goals and the daily acts that lead there
Watch your consistency grow through streaks and progress
12 Inner Roles exercise
Identify which archetypal roles you play in your life and how they serve or limit you.
Self-compassion practices
Written exercises adapted from compassion-focused therapy to soften your inner critic.
Circle of control
A visual and written exercise to help you focus your energy on what you can actually change.
Export your journal
Download a clean PDF of your answers. Your words, no prompts exposed. Yours to keep forever.
What changes

People who use this journal
tell us they come out clearer.

01
You understand yourself better
The patterns you could not name become visible. Why you react the way you do, what you actually need, and what has been quietly driving your choices.
02
You feel less at the mercy of your emotions
When you can name what you feel and where it comes from, it loses its grip. You move from reacting to responding, slowly and genuinely.
03
You know what you actually want
Not what you think you should want. The journal helps you separate other people's expectations from your own, and gives you language for the life you are trying to build.
04
You are gentler with yourself
Self-compassion is a skill, not a personality trait. The exercises in Part I and II build it deliberately, over time, in ways that actually stick.
05
Your days feel more intentional
The daily planner and mood journal in Part III turn insight into habit. Small, consistent check-ins that connect who you are becoming with how you actually spend your days.
06
You have a record of your growth
Your entries are saved to your account and can be exported anytime. Returning to what you wrote six months ago is one of the most quietly powerful things this journal offers.
A note on expectations. This journal will not fix everything. It will not replace therapy if you need it. What it will do is give you honest, structured time with yourself, consistently. That, over time, is where real change begins.
The brand

Where science
meets self-discovery.

Inklings Journal arrived from a simple observation: the tools that actually help people understand themselves are locked behind clinical settings most people can't access, and the tools that are accessible often don't go deep enough to matter.

We wanted to change that. Not by watering down the psychology, but by making it feel like something you could do with a cup of tea in your own time, in your own way.

Everything we create combines the depth of scientific understanding with the ease of accessing that knowledge in a way that feels natural. Warm and thoughtful, where psychology meets everyday life.

"A companion for every stage of your journey, not just the difficult ones."
The Inklings Journal team
The founder

Built from both
sides of the couch.

Shreya is a practising clinical psychologist whose work sits at the intersection of the self, relationships, and the stories we carry, often without knowing it.

Having been on both sides of the therapeutic relationship, she noticed something: people need a space between sessions. A place to sit with what is shifting, to continue the work on their own terms, without waiting for the next appointment.

That realisation became Inklings Journal. Built to walk alongside therapy, and alongside you, in the ordinary in-between moments of a real life.

Not at all. Many people start with the daily mood journal, others go straight to a chapter that pulls at them. There is a recommended order: Part I before Part II, because the earlier work builds the emotional safety you need for the deeper reflection. But ultimately, there is no wrong way to use this journal.
Yes, this is actually where it works especially well. Inklings Journal is designed to complement therapy, not replace it. The exercises, including self-compassion, inner child work and attachment exploration, are the same kinds of tools used in clinical settings. It gives you a place to continue that work in between sessions.
The journal starts with Part I specifically for this reason: it teaches you to ground yourself before going anywhere deeper. Each section that touches on heavier themes includes a reminder to pause and return to those grounding tools if you need to. That said, if you are in crisis or experiencing significant mental health difficulties, please reach out to a professional alongside using the journal.
